Doctor Who

The sequence begins with a middle shot of Martha Jones and the two body guard. Martha Jones is an army uniform which differs from the rest of the women as the one standing next to the master is wearing a long red dress and her hair is short and let loose. However the two women are wearing maids clothes. As Martha Jones neils down a low angle shot is established which shows that her power has gone down we also see a two cut from the master and Martha Jones this shows that the master is in control and stereotypes that men have power over women. The use of non diegetic sound is constantly used but when Doctor Who breaks free from the cave a fast and glorifying violin upbeat is used which creates a victory atmosphere.

At the start of the scene we see Martha Jones being … in with two body guards she is wearing an army uniform  an low angle shot is used to show that she is defenceless. because we see a typical female wearing a red dress and she is well done up and we also see two maids this links back to women are shown to be “White man” standing in the centre of everyone this made him look like he was God and that he was the main important person. Wearing a suite this shows that he is in control and have a high authority over everyone. However this is contradicted the stereotypes that women are shown to be weak and men are more dominate than women when the female Martha Jones rises up and tells him what she has done and he slowly starts to back down.
